Deserted Mooring, Walberswick.

Deserted Mooring, Walberswick
Artist quality watercolours on watercolour paper
8 1/4" x 11 3/4"

This latest watercolour was painted from photos and sketches taken on a visit a couple of years ago to Walberswick. We were visiting the Suffolk coastal town of Southwold and decided to stop off at Walberswick, a village just a few minutes down the coast. It had a lovely beach, not many people around and we found some wonderful old fishermens' huts and a variety of old and new boats as we walked from the beach, along the River Blyth. That's were I saw these rather rickety old mooring posts.

Follow the wall (Derbyshire)

Must apologize for not having posted recently. What with having to find a job (still nothing!!!) and other things going on, I haven't had much time to complete paintings I've been working on.
So to cheer myself up, here's something I did a while ago.

Follow the wall (Derbyshire)
Acrylic on stretched canvas
12" x 16"

There's some wonderful countryside in Derbyshire's Peak District. I can't remember exactly where I saw this old stone wall, but I believe it may have been somewhere near Monsal Dale.
Will have some new work to post soon.
