You don't see any deckchairs anymore these days, they were such a colourful sight, I liked them when they were all stacked away in piles on the beach when everyone had gone home to tea! Thanks for sharing this with us.<BR/><BR/>Stormee - yes, I'm a sucker for anything to do with the coast, beaches, sea. Just reminds me of summer holidays when I was young.... aahhh, so carefree!!<BR/><BR/>Amy - although I'm in Nottingham in the Midlands, it's only about an hour and half's train ride to the coast!! So we're really quite fortunate. Yes I agree, the coast is just heaven.<BR/><BR/>Storybeader - yes, snow and summer, slightly weird, I know. But that's how I often find things working out, painting summer in the winter and winter in the summer. I'm not really a 'plein-air' painter. I usually photograph and sketch when I'm out and then do the finished paintings indoors. So I quite often end up not painting the season I'm in. Still, it's fun!!
