Deserted Mooring, Walberswick.

Deserted Mooring, Walberswick
Artist quality watercolours on watercolour paper
8 1/4" x 11 3/4"

This latest watercolour was painted from photos and sketches taken on a visit a couple of years ago to Walberswick. We were visiting the Suffolk coastal town of Southwold and decided to stop off at Walberswick, a village just a few minutes down the coast. It had a lovely beach, not many people around and we found some wonderful old fishermens' huts and a variety of old and new boats as we walked from the beach, along the River Blyth. That's were I saw these rather rickety old mooring posts.

Oh John, this makes me feel like I'm actually there! I can almost feel the wood and taste the air. It's beautiful - and I stand behind my previous statements of my willingness to give my legs for the talent you have in your little finger. You're awesome!! Thank you for sharing your work with the world - it gives me something to aspire to. xx

John, I am so sorry for taking so long to post this - but I received the incredible print you sent. I want to send you sincere thanks. It is even more stunning in person. The frame I have it in doesn't do it justice, so I'm on the hunt for a better one.

It hangs above my desk and every time I look at it, inspiration washes over me. I could get lost in it! I am honored to own such an incredible piece - and I sincerely appreciate your kindness. Awesome!

Thank you so much,
Katherine xx

Hi Marian and everyone who has contacted me recently. Haven't posted for a while because I have, at last, got a job!!!!! so quite tired when I get home. I have been painting and will at some point get round to posting them.

Congrats on getting a job, John! I'm thrilled you've secured employment - but bummed you don't have as much time to paint and show us your wonderful work. I suppose I can wait...since I don't have a choice. ;) I really hope work is going well - post an update on how you are, when you have a chance. The blog world isn't the same without you!

(PS - Did you decide to stop with EC? Curious because I don't see your widget. Doesn't matter - I'll visit either way, just wondering if your job forced you to stop.) :) xx

The job's going fine thanks. I am still painting though not as much as I was and I will be posting again in the next day or so.
As for EC, I'm afraid I got erm... evicted, as I hadn't done any posts for some time - fair enough!! Not too bothered about that.
I will be concentrating on this blog and closing down the other two I started as there's no way I'd be able to keep all three going.
