A street in Clovelly, Devon

A street in Clovelly, Devon
8 1/4" x 11 3/4"
Artist quality watercolours on watercolour paper

Clovelly is a beautiful village on the Devon coast with a single cobbled street winding among the cottages down to the small pier. My wife and I visited it about eight years ago after a holiday in Cornwall. We stopped off here as we were driving back home. We didn't have long so I took loads of photos. This is the first painting I've done from them.
If you are interested in buying this, it is on ebay.

Wow, I love this. It is really fantastic. The color combination is superb and the style is the same as before that I used to admire a lot. Thanks for featuring your latest painting. It is a masterpiece in the making. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

Oh yes Meghann! Clovelly is definitely a romantic place and I have tried to get some of that feeling into my painting.

Thanks Mel. I think my style tends to vary depending on what I'm painting and the medium I'm using.

Nice to see you posting again. I really like this one of Devon especially as it has been a lot of years since I was there. Makes me feel like visiting again.

Hi John, I came across your blog and liked your paintings a lot. I like the looseness and bright colors in your paintings. I paint too in watercolors and always want to get that loose quaility in my paintings (hardly succeed though)

Hi John- I like the way the street curves off in the background. Hey, I was going to buy a CMF ad from you, but I can't seem to find you in their system. You might want to check on that.
